Pink Leopard Nails

Since Valentine season is almost here, I want to make a countdown by posting my Valentine-inspired nail color/design. To start off, I make this girly girl Pink Leopard that I already posted on Instagram last week so if you are following me there, you might seen this already but if you haven’t then follow @priscillajoycepardo! I have used 3 different pink hues for this nail design and I am proud of the result. It is a better take on the classic leopard manicure, I should say.

Here are the things I’ve used for this manicure: OMG Nail Polish in Bikini and First Date, Careline pink nail polish which is my favorite, Bobbie Basic Sheer, Caronia Nail Hardener and Top Coat, OMG dotting tool.

I am looking forward in posting more of my Valentine-inspired manicure and I am crossing my fingers now for that. See you again and advance Happy Valentine!

Careline Classic Nail Polish

It's Manicure Monday! Today I want to share with you my "little collection" of Careline Classic nail polishes. I recently got another and noticed that I am growing a little number of them and I think I will continue to collect every bottle in every hue for 3 reasons:

 1. Each one comes in a small cute bottles that I really love because I used to bring them anywhere like now that I brought them at the office.
 2. They are super cheap! I got them at Mercury Drugstores for only PhP 10.00! (Approximately $.30)
3. They come in gorgeous hues and has great consistency!

My only problem in it is it comes in a small brush which gives me a hard time to cover my whole nail but I can manage! :D

OOTD: Pasalubong Hunting at Boracay

Last November 2012, I went to my Boracay Trip together with my boyfriend's family (Click here to see my other posts about this trip). I almost forgotten to post the rest of the photos that is why I am posting it just now, 2 months ago after this have happened. Well, I just caught with the Christmas and year-end errands for work, that is why plus I found these photos just now.

Today's post is about what I wore when we are hunting for pasalubong before we get back to Manila. I intended to post all the photos today but I realize that there are a lot of them so I decided to post my OOTD first. The rest of the colorful souvenirs will come in my next post!

I simply wore a tank-top-short combo and threw on my blue fedora hat to protect my face in the sun's heat because we will be walking a little from our hotel to the souvenir shops. I also bring my yellow mustard bag that I got from Romwe (See my review of it here.) to carry my essentials like cellphone, wallet, comb, sunblock lotion and camera.

I posted this look on lookbook, PLEASE HYPE! <3

Christmas Confessions by Kathleen Long

Have I told you that I'm back to reading?! I have finished reading this book just today. Christmas Confessions is a romance-suspense novel by Kathleen Long. But not the typical romance novel where it focuses on the love story of the characters because the story highlights the suspense more. And that suspense really annoys me especially when I am reading it at night!

I must applaud at the author because I have visualized every part of the story since it was told the way you can imagine it, and that's awesome. I am recommending this book to everyone and I might look for another book of Kathleen Long when I go to BookSale.

Just one thing that upsets me while reading this book is when I find this promo. Too bad this book was published 5 years ago and the promotion might not exist anymore. :(
But I'm wishing my luck to be this good in the upcoming promos that I will be joining ;)

Ombre Scene

Boracay is a small island in the Philippines located approximately 315 km (196 mi) south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Islandin the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Boracay Island and its beaches have received awards from numerous travel publications and agencies. The island comprises the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak municipality of Malay, province of Aklan. The island is administered by the Philippine Tourism Authority and the provincial government of Aklan. Apart from its white sand beaches, Boracay is also famous for being one of the world's top destinations for relaxation. It is also emerging among the top destinations for tranquility and nightlife. (from Wikipedia)

One of the things that I really adore during our 4-day vacation at Boracay is this ombre screne. It is a gradient effect between the see and the horizon that truly makes me feel I'm in a paradise. Far from the scene I am seeing everyday in the metro.

I took advantage of the opportunity to have a photo with this beauty on my background. And mind you, seeing these photos every time makes me want to get back to this paradise. I promise, I will when I got the luxury of time and money to do so! ♥

Hype, hype, hype my look please?! ♥

Play on Neon!

My promise of own Manicure Monday have totally been broken! Believe me, I've tried so hard but my schedule didn't allow me to paint my nails on weekend. (Sigh) Anyhow, I'll just make sure to post at least one every week! This week's nails is all about playing with neons! It was my second time to rock this bright hue in my finger and the first one was with Neon Green. (Click here to see that post)

I've told you then that with that neon green polish, it looks like a candy on my nails and so these neon orange and neon blue! They are extremely bright and fun colors, and as I am typing this blog post, I am still overly annoyed with its color! It looks so yummy to me and I want to lick my fingers like a lollipop! lol.

I've used the same brand which is Klik, because it is the cheapest and it has a great quality! The moment you put the polish on your nails, it already dries! AMAZING!
But I guess, that just applies for Klik's neon nail polishes because the regular ones takes a minute or two to dry.

Nail polished used: Klik nail polish in Neon Blue and Neon Red Orange.

PS: I didn't add any effect nor edited any photo, I just put my blog's watermark. The reason why my hands looks pale is because my digital camera's effect was set into Tungsten. The first shot took great and made the color pop out so I use the camera with that effect instead. ♥

I'm Back to Reading

Reading has been my passion ever since. I remember myself snapping on my sister's notes during our elementary days checking on what she'd up to in her day at school. Library have been my place-to-go during my free time in high school. I must admit, reading has contributed so much knowledge to me. I remember being one-step higher with my collegiate during school class because I was equipped with the information I have read. I would love to read anything back then. Newspaper, books, pocketbooks, comic strips, journals, name it and I will read them all. Until this passion disappeared, just when I needed it most. College life has been a "self-study era" and that is when I got tired and sick of reading.. I don't know.

Until just recently, something urge me to bring back this passion and be back in reading again. I want to start of with something refreshing, something far from anything that stresses me. Romance novels are my best option to run in this case. I used to read Tagalog romance stories in pocketbooks before and they never fail to make my imagination gone wild. And now that I am starting in reading again, I choose to start it in English for some challenge. ;)

I got these 2 Intrigue Breathtaking Romance Suspense from BookSale at SM City Sucat. It was Midnight Disclosures by Rita Herron and  Christmas Confessions by Kathleen Long. I am reading these during daily journey to work and back home.

I got them for only PhP42 each! ($1). Plus, the latter only costs me in a discounted price of PhP35. You could see that these books are already used but who cares? In my own opinion, what matters most in a book is its content. Presentation/packaging will just come secondly. BookSale is offering used books at very cheap prices and it is really a great place for affordable reading!  I might buy more books after I read these 2! ♥

Bluer Than Blue

On the 3rd day of 2013, I decided to rock an all-blue outfit combo from top to shoes to accessories! Plus, I don't forget to wear some polkas on me for a good luck.

Arm party of the day! I am really loving my new Omega watch that I bought in a mall. Classic yet playful because of the touch of color blue in its silver ensemble.

Meet my revamped shoes! If you want to know how I revamped it and what does it look before, click here

Glitzy and Glamorous New Year Nails

It's the first day of 2013! Yes, I've found time to dress up and prepare to welcome this ever new year (I hope I've found time like this in most occasions throughout the year!). Here is what my new year nail looks like: Glitzy and Glamorous! This was obviously inspired by the one I posted here, which is the most easier to do and more unique to wear. ;)

Don't you love the background I used here? It was a tee that I've wear just after I photographed my nails! I use a black base and pile on small and big chunks of glitters for this nails to give it glam!

I bought these glittered nail polishes just for this occasion. I will be posting a haul of what I got together with these soon!

Caronia Nail Hardener and Base Coat, OMG nail polish in Black Out, Klik nail color in Frosted Platinum Glitter, OMG nail polish in Disco Ball, O.P.I. top coat
Of course, I've used a base coat to protect the natural color of my nail specially because I am using a black nail polish here which will have a big chance to stain it. I also use a top coat to seal in the glitters and add more shine!

Cheers to a prosperous new year!

New Year Outfit: Purple + Polkas

It's a fresh start for 2013! This blog is one of the great things that contributes to my wonderful 2012 so thank you so much for reading and following! Today, I am wearing my favorite color plus new year's staple polkas! As stated in my previous post, we Filipinos have a superstition to wear polka dots in New Year. They say anything round signifies prosperity so I am wearing it together with my favorite color for double good luck! Happy New Year everyone! May you have a prosperous 2013 ahead!
