Summer 2013: Loreland Farm Resort

(Hello there big sister!) Summer is all about having fun under the sun so allow me to share another summer escapade I had with my family this time! One sunny Sunday, we decided to have our summer getaway for this year and since we didn't have any idea on where to go, I decided to bring them to Loreland Farm Resort where my classmates have once brought me for our overnight barkada get-together. The first time I saw this place, I knew this is awesome! And since my first time in here is at night, I thought I will appreciate this more on daytime. And I was right!

Loreland Farm Resort is a piece of paradise in the heart of Antipolo City, Rizal. The ambiance in the place is just breath-taking, it feels like the nature is so close to you. Fresh air, green leaves and serene scene of the city. That's how I will describe my new-found summer place! And since the place is located in a high point of the country, taking a tour in the resort leads you to many stairs.

I wore a simple tank-top and shorts number for this trip and this means comfort!

I told you! This place has so many stairs to lead you up and down! We had so much fun playing in the water all day! Will I come back? Definitely, YES!

Summer 2013: Neon Tips Trend

As we know, summer is all about wearing the craziest colors from your head to toe. I mean, when you wear them on rainy days or spring, it would create an unusual feel. But try wearing it on summer and you'll see, everything will wear it! And speaking of crazy colors, will there be any crazier colors than NEONS? For me there's not. And I am surely taking this opportunity to rock them on from clothes to nails!

But since I am at the office 6 days per week, I am keeping these neon in a subtle wearable mode. I cut my nails short and wear this Klik Nail Polish in Neon Green at the tip of my nails. Tadaaa! A summer trend that you can rock even in formal or casual days. Yay!

Summer 2013: Purple Rainbow

It's summer time! It's about time to take all those crazy colors and prints our of your closet! We all have an excuse to wear them all out this season so let's get it on! Hooray for summer!

I got this pretty purple dress earlier in November last year and have reserved it for our Boracay outing but sadly, it didn't come in time. So I kept it for long while I am looking for the best time to wear it. Now here's summer that is giving me the passport and telling me to go "gaga" over this beautiful number. What did I do? Of course, I'm much more willing to obey! (teheeee!) I wore it on our family outing, just throw on a sandals and a boho-like bag in its color family and voila! I'm now ready for beach!

I also love how it came in a bohemian cut which is another plus! Flowy dress like these are so "in" this summer! Thank you so much Sammy Dress!

Summer 2013: Sky Ranch Photo Diary

So here goes the continuation of my first summer in Tagaytay. After having our lunch at Green ATS, we headed to the newly-opened Sky Ranch which is another SMDC creation. This place is boasting the country's tallest Ferris Wheel where you can see the majestic beauty of Tagaytay's famouse Taal volcano when you ride on it! This ferris wheel is merely like the one in SM Mall of Asia. Almost same in height and same in price for PhP 150.00!

From the outside, you will already see this giant ride and if you have shallow happiness like me, then this view can already be breath-taking to you. To enter, you have to pay P50. You have to pay for individual rides that you want to, price ranges from P50.00- P150.00. They don't have ride-all-you-can tickets yet.

Here are the people behind the reality of my dream to come here, thank you Anson family!

They are offering horse back riding for almost anyone, kids to adult as long as you can ride SAFELY. ;)

Here's their version of viking which they call Super Viking, it is similar to Enchanted Kingdom's Anchor's Away but I think this swings higher. And to those kids that also want to ride a viking but doesn't pass the height requirement, don't worry, there is Little Viking for you.!

On to the park's main attraction, here goes the Sky Eye, which a giant ferris wheel! You can see the whole city from above it!

Again, it has been a short afternoon with this gorgeous place but I know, there will still be next times! I promise to visit this city again in the future and spend more summer in it!

Summer 2013: Tagaytay Photo Diary

Are you also feeling the scorching heat of summer lately? Temperature gets up to 37 degrees here in the Philippines and the heat can totally be intolerable! We do have different choices on how to escape the unendurable hotness of weather and keep yourself warm. Opt to raid the beaches/ resorts and play with water all day! If you have time, visit the most elevated cities in our country where climate is usually cold, you will never go wrong with Baguio. But if your busy schedule won’t allow you to have a vacation, try to go to the most accessible places where you can get the same result. Go for Antipolo or Tagaytay instead.

We opt to visit the latter last Sunday and it was a great experience! It is also a dream come true for me, thanks to my boyfriend's family! I was mesmerized with great scenery in the city, it was peaceful and relaxing to be close to nature!

Our first stop is the Pink Sisters Convent. You will be greeted by huge pine trees upon entering the premises. The photo above is just so serene! Pine trees + church + blue sky = perfect!

This church is the Convent of Divine Mercy, but it was popularly known as Pink Sisters Convent. Why is it known in that name? It is because you will find nuns dressed in pink kneeling in front of the alter during the mass, or reading churchgoer's petitions (of course, I didn't miss the chance and wrote mine too!). Those pink sisters are behind a metal railings inside the church. They say that one should not disturb the solemn prayers of them, that is why the railings are putted behind them.

This is me camwhoring with the church and those gorgeous pine trees. Yey for my shallow happiness. I know, I know!

For the outfit, I opt for a neutral ensemble. I also make sure that I wear a long-sleeve top because I know the sun will kill me (contradicting right? but I am pertaining to sunlight not to heat. ;)) Anyhow, I keep the bottom warm by wearing a shorts. I throw on a violet jelly shoes and a mint backpack from Romwe for a pop of color.

After attending the mass, we headed to Green ATS Bulalohan and Restaurant which showcases the breath-taking view of Tagaytay's famous Tall volcano!

Our cottage was just behind a precipice, I'm thankful that I don't have much fear of heights. You can see the city's skyline over it, and that was just well, a piece of HEAVEN! Those shadows are clouds from above, and they are covering few spots. Also, if you can see the highest point of the place in this picture, there is where the new Sky Ranch is situated. I will have a separate blog post for that soon!

It was a short but priceless experience Tagaytay. I know I will get back again and have the luxury of time and money to enjoy the city! ♥

Copper Nails

I am blogging this during my lunch break at the office so I will do it short and quick. I just wanted to share my nail color for this week which is copper. Copper color is a reddish brown color that resembles the metal copper. It is usually a warm color, best to wear if you have light skin because the color will surely pop up.

But I will also recommend it with women with fair skin like me because as I wear this, it makes an effect of a lighter skin for me.

Style Staple: Weekend Never Ends

It's already weekend! It's the time of the week when everyone can relax and do the things they didn't do on the usual week days! And it is my most favorite time of the week because I can finally do the things I want to do like watch my Youtube subscriptions, do my nails like crazy and of course update this blog! How about you? Do you love weekends too?

My perception of weekend, especially for long ones, is a getaway at a beach/ resort. So today's Style Staple is inspired by an ombre scene in a beach sea! What I do here is I basically combine pieces in teal and blue color which is 2 colors that comes in the same pantone and not just that, they blends well together! I added some nude brown pieces to warm up the look and voila! I just created a Beach Babe outfit!

Weekend getaway means a lot of travel and a lot of hassle so you would opt for a comfy ensemble where you can stay fashionable while travelling. When it comes to comfort, you can never go wrong with a tank-top-maxi-skirt-sandals combo. Just throw on a floppy hat to keep your face warm and a cool sunnies to protect your eyes from the sun. Going to beach also means carrying extra outfit for bathing on the sea or just walking on the seashore so be sure to ready a beach bag that are usually huge in size.

Teal Nails

Teal is saturated combination of blue and green color that created a warm edgy tone. This color have been creating a big boom in fashion and beauty scene today and I honestly love it. As I've always rave, violet is my favorite color and teal would be next to it. Not to mention, these 2 colors looks so good together! I'll prove that on my next post! Promise!

On to my nails, I am currently wearing a pretty teal color from Oh My Golly. It is in the tone Mojito which is a perfect bluish-green hue. I really love it and it makes me want to eat my nails every time. lol.

This outfit is what I wore last night for a family dinner with my boyfriend's family. Since I am too lazy to dress up and afraid of being overdress, I choose to wear a simple number in one hue, which is black. I choose a sequined top with lots of sparkles over it and pair it with a silvery black shorts to give an edge to a classic all black ensemble. I just throw on another sparkly bling necklace and I'm good to go!

Blue and gray has been a pair of colors that blends with each other. Maybe because they came on same pantone. On today's style staple, I'm gonna show you 3 ways to rock your sweater and skirt combo in these 2 colors. My style is basically comfort-pro so don't be surprise if I opt to wear flats/ sneakers than the known classic stiletto or pumps. I would but for special occasions only. Style Staple: Nautical Gal

It’s nice to be back here! I feel like it's been a decade since I write my last post! Phew~! I obviously can’t find time to update this blog. It’s quite difficult to balance my time to work, social life and to other things I’d want to do. The least thing I can do to keep myself updated in the social media is to update my Instagram (@priscillajoycepardo) and Facebook (fb.com/priscillajoycepardo) account with the things that happens every day through pictures or through words.

As a solution to this problem, I thought of having another segment that could still showcase my fashion taste/ thoughts and ideas without spending much time to do it, the least I can do on my free time. I’ll call it Style Staple which will feature different fashion inspiration and how-to-style guides from my own sense. Don't get me wrong, I'm not claiming to be a legit Stylista, I'm a trying hard one I know, but I aspire to be once so I hope this will help.

For the first Style Staple segment, here is a nautical-inspired outfit. Nautical fashion is known for its blue-white-red color combination plus the stripes. My version is so like that which is basically a combination of blue and white-colored pieces with a pop of red. This look is a preppy, comfortable ensemble which will be best to worn in school, hanging out with friends, malling or going to park.

Perfect Polka Nails

Another Valentine-inspired nail is on my hands right now! It is actually a revamped version of my last post which is the Romantic Red Nails. What I just did is erase the ring finger’s paint and change it to a plain white so I could add my lovely little dots onto it. The rest of the nails stay its way. I just add couple of dots and tada! I have my Perfect Polka nails!

At first, you can’t tell that it was the same nail as my last post until I told it right? They’re completely different concept but both playful and romantic! I am a sucker of simple designs yet yearns for glamour like you've spend tons of hours in it!

And why did I call it "Perfect Polka"? Nothing special behind it. It's just that, this is my first time to perfect a polka dot design. I've tried it several times but the design sucks. Happily, I perfected it now! Woo!

Romantic Red Nails

As promised, I will make my own countdown to Valentine by posting my own creations of Valentine-inspired nails. If you missed it, my first Valentine nail inspiration is Pink Leopard nails, (click here to see the post) which is my modern and girly take on the classic leopard print.

Today's nail is a simple red nails, (which we all know red is the color of Valentines) spiced up by adding a huge heart shape in the ring finger. It's classic and sophisticated with it's plain color and playful with the heart putted on. I prefer the playful one though! ;)

The nail polish I've used is this gorgeous Romantic Red hue from Careline, which is a part of my "little collection" (Click here to see my post about it) that I got for only PhP10 (aproximately $0.30) at Mercury Drugstore!

Pink Leopard Nails

Since Valentine season is almost here, I want to make a countdown by posting my Valentine-inspired nail color/design. To start off, I make this girly girl Pink Leopard that I already posted on Instagram last week so if you are following me there, you might seen this already but if you haven’t then follow @priscillajoycepardo! I have used 3 different pink hues for this nail design and I am proud of the result. It is a better take on the classic leopard manicure, I should say.

Here are the things I’ve used for this manicure: OMG Nail Polish in Bikini and First Date, Careline pink nail polish which is my favorite, Bobbie Basic Sheer, Caronia Nail Hardener and Top Coat, OMG dotting tool.

Careline Classic Nail Polish

It's Manicure Monday! Today I want to share with you my "little collection" of Careline Classic nail polishes. I recently got another and noticed that I am growing a little number of them and I think I will continue to collect every bottle in every hue for 3 reasons:

1. Each one comes in a small cute bottles that I really love because I used to bring them anywhere like now that I brought them at the office.

2. They are super cheap! I got them at Mercury Drugstores for only PhP 10.00! (Approximately $.30)

3. They come in gorgeous hues and has great consistency!

My only problem in it is it comes in a small brush which gives me a hard time to cover my whole nail but I can manage! :D
