Pink and Blue Nail Stripes

Tape manicure has been so popular in today's fashion and nail trends. In no doubt, it will still invade the future trends. Why not right? It can give life in any boring nails and you can even create the craziest, weirdest manicure when you have them. Today's nail will be my second attempt on tape manicure. The first one was my first ever nail art, who turned out to be something plain but I am proud of it. You can see it here. :)

Here are the products/things that I've used in this nail art: Careline Classic Nail Polish, O.P.I Top Coat, Caronia Nail Hardener & Base Coat, blue electrical tape and a scissor

Tape manicures are usually done placing the tape on each nails and removing it after painting your desired design. I can't find a clear scotch tape and so this electrical tape just came in handy. I already painted my nails pink then until I noticed that these two colors will be a great combo so I decided not to do the usual tape manicure. Instead, I cut it in small strip to create the stripes. And tadaaa! Instant nail art! I just love the combination of blue and pink!

I sealed it in with top coat so it won't strip off when I wash my hands or take a bath. Top coats are really effective in sealing nail designs I may say!

Sister Style: Romper and Colors

Since I am planning to fill this blog with a more personal posts, I've decided to add another segment which I will call "Sister Style" that features my future sisters-in-law. Today I will be featuring Allison, which is my boyfriend's sister, and her outfit-of-the-day.

She is actually wearing a romper here but not that usual romper that has the same print in top and bottom. I love pieces like this that looks like two when they're just actually one because you can easily dress them up or down depending on how you need them. Imagine wearing it with a decent blazer and a close shoes, and you just opt for a formal, business attire. Wear it with a cardigan and flats, and you just did a staple Sunday/ picnic outfit. There are so many possibilities! It is just a matter of mixing and matching!
But Allison go for a more casual, comfy outfit here by wearing the piece as it is and match it with a flat strap sandals. Patterns in the top of the romper and her sandals gave some spice in the whole outfit.

And since the colors have been neutral, it is best to pile on simple yet colorful accessories! Here, bracelets and sunnies have been her accessories of choice.

I love the gradient effect on this Vans shades! It just popped-up a colorful statement with it's pink, violet, purple, blue and turquoise hue!

Thanks Allison

News Nails

Today is Manicure Monday! It is nice to be back in blogging from almost 4 days of being confined to bed because of sick. I have missed many things to do because of that and one of those is updating this blog! But thank God nothing fatal has happened and I feel well now. Back to Manicure Monday, this week’s nails are a recreation of newspaper nails. Since I didn't find any newspaper when doing it, I decided to use an old encyclopedia, which I ask permission with my boyfriend’s sister first since it was their property and not mine. And I’ll still call this news nails since it also bears information.

To do this, you will need the following: An alcohol (Preferably 70% Solution), a white nail polish, a top coat, and a newspaper or a book in my case.

First, paint all your nails white. I have used OMG Nail Polish in White Out here.

Then, in a container, add a few drops of alcohol and dip your nails on it. You can also drop it directly in your nails. Be sure to cover the whole nail.

Next, quickly pat on a small portion of the page on your nails before the alcohol gets dry. Press and hold it tight for 10 seconds. I ask help from my sister here so I can take a picture of it with my other hand, but you can always do it yourself! Thanks as always Ate Enei! ♥ (Sorry for the wrong camera focus! ;D)

Peel off the page and Tadaaaa! you have transferred the print  on your white nails!

Do the same steps with the rest of your nails. I suggest using a 70% solution alcohol so the print will be clearly visible. Don't forget to add your top coat to seal in your design and have a beautiful shine!

I am thinking of cutting my nails short after making this manicure. You will see  what I have decided next Monday. :)

Fashion Revamp: T-shirt to Tank Top

Scissors has been my best friend ever since. Why? Because I always have a heart for crafts. Anything artistic related in cutting really interests me.  I remember getting high grades in arts during elementary and high school because of my habit of cutting out papers. Until now that I am full grown-up, I still attached in this habit of cutting out almost anything that I want to get in my scissor’s teeth. One evidence is today’s revamped shirt, cut out to make it a tank top.

I got this t-shirt almost 5 years ago as an exchange gift back in our 4th year high school Christmas party. It was one shirt that I won’t mind to let go in case this experiment doesn't end up great because a far from being old, it got some stain in lower center part. Yes, you've heard this was an experiment. I haven’t sure of doing this and I just give it a try. It turned out pretty good so I think I could give it another try next time! All you need is a shirt, a scissor and a tie or even a remnant of clothes just like what I use.

Cut out the neckline of your shirt followed by the sleeves. Cut outside of the sleeve lines. Imagine the shape of a sando when doing this part.

Get a tie or a remnant of cloth. The one I am using here is a ribbon from one of my top. Tie the back part of the shirt just as shown in the picture below.

And that's it! Your new tank top is ready! It just took me 3 minutes to do this. Easy right?

Time to fit it of course! I am not really wearing sleeves tops because I personally don't like what my shoulder and arms looks like when wearing it so. #inferioritycomplex

Just in case you're like me that wants to look great in a tank top, it'll depend on how toned your arms are! I found the image below just this morning that rings my mind for a right timing because I am posting this DIY Tank Top tutorial! To help shape your arms for pretty sleeveless tops, try the following exercises!

Straw Stain Nails

It's Manicure Monday! I've promised on my Blue and Silver Nails post last week that I will be posting something about my nails every first day of the week since I will be calling it "Manicure Monday". Luckily, I am keeping that promise this week! Hope I can continuously keep it in the coming weeks also (cross-fingers*) This week's nails is inspired by London Olympics because of these circles looping each other or I may say, an abstract artwork which has been a new nail trend that literally uses your nails as canvass by coloring it white and painting on it.

I will call it Straw Stain Nails since I have achieved this design by dipping a straw in colored-nail polishes and dabbing that on my nails.

I have used a total of 6 bottles of nail polishes here: 4 colored nail polished here, a white base and a top coat.

First, paint all your nails white. I use OMG nail polish in White Out here. In case you don’t have white nail polish, you can make use of any light –colored polish where the design can still be visible. I suggest using pastels or maybe, considering using your correction fluid. Just kidding. J

Then, put some drops of colored nail polishes in a flat container, in my case I just use a small plastic bag laid down on the floor.

Take a straw and dip it into colored polish then place it on your white nails to draw on some circles. Repeat the same process with the rest of your nails until your desired amount of design have been achieved. I recommend using both sides of the straw and cutting it in small pieces because you will only need the tip for each color.

Don’t forget to add your top coat to seal in your design and add a beautiful shine on your nails.

Nail Polishes used: (L-R) O.P.I. Top Coat, Careline nail colors which I don't know the exact label because it isn't indicated, OMG nail polishes in Bikini, First Date and White Out

I hope you have liked this mini tutorial. I am not a pro but maybe I could post a better one in the future.

What will X Factor’s Rylan Clark wear next?

One of the most controversial contestants in this year’s X Factor, Rylan Clark
has this week continued to use his unusual fashion tastes to both shock
and wow the public. This time Rylan decided to take a night time stroll to the
local shops wearing a bright blue onesie and silver boots. Whether Rylan is
desperate for attention or genuinely enjoys off-the-wall fashion, one thing is
for certain – the public is talking about him more than any other contestant on
the show.

23-year-old Rylan courted much controversy when he was put through to
the live finals by Nicole Scherzinger. Despite breaking down in tears in an
incredibly emotional reaction to the news, many members of the public ran for
social media sites to slam the decision. The general consensus on Twitter is
that Rylan is not the strongest singer in his category, and that other people
were more deserving of a spot in the live finals. Some ‘trolls’ have even sent
death threats to the boy from Essex.

However, Rylan doesn’t seem to be letting the criticism get to him, as his
fashion sense seems to show no signs of getting any less exciting. Although
he has cut off the long blonde locks that wowed the judges during his initial
audition, his latest ensemble shows he has not lost any of his wild fashion
side. He now has the public on their toes waiting for his next outfit, and in
a singing competition where he is not the strongest singer; Rylan could be
playing the game just right by grabbing himself as much attention as possible
(think Frankie Cocozza from last year’s show).

The hype is sure to reach fever pitch come Saturday. Will Rylan tone down
his style, or will he wear something even more over the top than last time
out? Perhaps he could have a look at some Halloween fancy dress for men at very.co.uk–
with the holiday just around the corner maybe it’s a ghost ship
ghoul look that will really get people talking.

Spikes and Statement

Last weekend has been so great! I got a 2-day rest day which I've enjoyed so much, plus a package from Sunshine Incorporated has arrived! The package contains these lovely goodies, which is a statement necklace that has a vintage appeal which is so good, and these 2 bright-colored spike bracelets!

I am so much inloved with them that I have to wear it right away. The dress that I am wearing here is from my boyfriend's brother's girlfriend, Ate Enei. It doesn't fit her size so she have given it to me. Yiiie! Free lovely accessories + free lovely dress = EARLY CHRISTMAS FEELING! Yay!

I admire how this statement necklace compliments the floral dress from Ate Enei. They just got to me on the right timing! Not to mention, this is the first statement necklace that I will be owning so thank you so much Sunshine Incorporated! It was made from a light-weight metal and a old-toned chain that makes the whole accessories more elegant.

I haven't incorporated these spike bracelets with my outfits but I'll surely will soon! The lovely colors of them can make it easy to match up any attire or be a pop of color to a simple, plain outfit. These spikeys can be a best statement-maker too! They are made of plastic so they are so light-weight, and makes them more wearable.

If you are interested to have any of these awesome goodies, you can have them at Sunshine Incorporated. Don't forget to like their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SunshineIncorporated!

Also, they are accepting resellers! If you are interested, just e-mail them at incorporatedsunshine@gmail.com

Blue and Silver Nails

Since its has been a tradition to me for more than a month now to change my nail color every week, I am thinking of posting a highlight of my nails every first day of the week and call it "Manicure Monday". Sounds corny but I like it. And I hope I can do it regularly. Sigh.

I am usually altering my nail color during weekend. I commonly take a picture of my nails right after I put my nail polish on. It is one thing that excites me a lot! I don't know, I just love to take a picture of anything. You can tell it already if you have read this post where I express my love in photographs.

My digital camera has left me disappointed because it had a drained battery on weekend. Good thing my boyfriend's brother had a DSLR, so I enabled my thick-face attitude and borrow it. That is why the images on this post are in HD. Thanks Kuya Allan! Till next time! ♥

OMG Nail Polishes in Stiletto and Atlantis
The nail polish that I have used here is from my favorite brand, Oh My Golly. I have been in love with this brand not only because they have such lovely color range but also, this nail polishes are super affordable! Every time I am talking about this brand, I sounds like their endorser by giving them all praise! I also sounds like every post has been paid when its not. lol.

I am right-handed so you will expect a less-attractive right hand nails. But just to show you, I have do the opposite on my other hand wherein the main color has been the silver.

I just love how this nails turned out. The combination of blue and silver appeals so fascinating to me. And this blue hue looks like candies in my eyes! Do you see the same too?

DIY Shoulder-length Hair Hairstyles

Short hair takes less styling time as its advantage, allowing you to polish your look in just a few minutes. The only small issue of this hair cut with us girls is, we often find it hard to change our looks-- style it up in new, different ways. Also, most hairstyle how-tos seem to focus on longer hair, leaving those with short haircuts feeling left out and nowhere to go. In an effort to change all that, or just give you an idea on how to style the not-so-short, shoulder-length hair like mine, I am posting this hair inspirations. For me, it will always be better to give your hair some effort by styling it than to wear it everyday as it is.  So if you're a woman with a short hair, this post is for you! Anyhow, I am not limiting this post for short hair only. We all know that  these hairstyles could better fit a longer hair but since I've tried it in my shoulder-length hair, I am counting it in for short hair hairstyles!

Regular Braid ♥
Who says short hairs cannot be braided? Definitely not me! A simple regular braid can look better than wearing your hair down the whole day.

Quadruple Flipped Ponytail ♥
It is literally a twist for the regular ponytail. Just tie your hair as you usually do, then flip it inwards. Decide if you how much of your hair would you want to be tied and flipped. I decided all and I came up with 4 flips!

Sock Bun ♥
My version of the famous sock bun! I constantly want to do a step-by-step guide on how to do this! Unhappily, I don't have a tripod and I don't always like to ask anybody to take a photo of my hair just because I want to blog it. Same thing as I want to do my hair by myself, which is why all of these hairstyles are DIY.

I am looking forward to do more of these! I hope I could find time to do so.
How long is your hair? Would you try this to yours? Let me know in the comment box below! ♥
