Chicken Charlie

Finally got time to compose another blog post after more than a month! The past month has been a crazy one at work but still I still managed to squeeze a Summer adventure with friends before my schedule gets tight.

Chicken Charlie has been our choice of place for "planning" our itinerary - our first time also to try this restaurant and I would rate the experience 8 stars out of 10. Food was delicious, the ambiance of the place is just right for a dinner discussions and oh, I love those playful framed typography incorporating their main dish (well, you can tell in the name that it's chicken. Haha.) as well as their Marketing communication call-outs particularly their choice of fonts and colors!

We ordered their Family Bundle meal (good for 4 persons) that costs P619.00. This meal includes 4 pieces of chicken, rice, side dish and drinks that roughly costs us P155.00 per person. It is a "sulit" choice for us because the meal leaves us full and the place gives us a fun time to discuss and update each other's lives.

Side Salad ♥

Cheese Dynamite, Skin on Fries and Onion Rings. These are all yummmmmmmmy! ♥

Best buffalo wings! ♥

Group photo with friends! We will definitely visit again to try another item on their menu :)

You may visit Chicken Charlie's Facebook page and website.

RACKS

Whenever my boyfriend's family will eat out, RACKS is always in the list of our go-to place -especially their SM Mall of Asia branch since this is the nearest (and most ideal mall to go to most of the time) from their home. Usually when we are dining in, we are frequenting their Surf 'N' Turf family platter that can satisfy up  to 8-10 persons.

Just looking at these photos makes me crave for their Classic Pork Ribs - grilled to perfection and made even perfect when paired with their original barbeque sauce. ♥

Spaghetti Carbonara
Classic Garlic Bread
Classic Grilled Pork Ribs - super soft and tasty! Best paired with RACKS' Original Barbeque Sauce ♥
Buttered Corn & Carrot
Fish & Chips (or should I say fries) with a perfect dip!
Potato Salad
Broccoli & Cheese - another perfect combination
Have attempted to DIY it at home and it's worth a try! Yummm!
The Ansons! We're missing half of the group here L

The iScreamist

It has always been our barkada's plan to roam around the recently popularized area in Quezon City, the Maginhawa Street. We finally did but got a little time to stroll in the area so we hit a dessert bar instead. Its always a wise choice for us to follow our sweet tooth - talk about priorities! J

We ramble this interesting pocket place called "The IsCreamist" that is popular for their liquid nitrogen ice cream. It is a small ice cream store located at Magiting Street (near Maginhawa Street) that can just accommodate maximum of 15 diners at a time from 1:00pm - 10:00pm daily.

The periodic table of frozen treats! ♥
Of course we tried the famous Dragon's Breath - which are usually small portion of snacks to be dipped into liquid nitrogen before being eaten which will cause you to breath smoke like dragon. Hence, the clever name. It was so fun to eat! J

Nutella Ice Cream! ♥
My ever favorite Pistachio Ice Cream! ♥
Huge Nitrogen tanks + le Bestfriend
Overall, The iScreamist will give you a whole new way of experiencing an all time frozen favorite J

Big Chill

I have always been a hunter of quiet nooks out and around the metro. When I want to flee away from the hustle and bustle of life, my first go-to place would be a park. Little did I know, it is also possible to find a silent area inside a mall - just like Big Chill Gateway Mall branch. This particular branch of blended shake bar will give you an unobtrusive stay. One reason is it is located at the cinema area of the mall wherein people don't usually hang outside, instead they are just staying on the food court down below while waiting for their movie slot - this made me decide to frequent the place whenever I need a discreet surrounding. J

We ordered Mango Mania which is a refreshing (you knew it, yes) mango shake. It is best to be a dinner substitute if you want to skip any heavy meal at night plus it's made of fruit so you could acquire more of its benefits. J
