OOTD: Pasalubong Hunting at Boracay

Last November 2012, I went to my Boracay Trip together with my boyfriend's family (Click here to see my other posts about this trip). I almost forgotten to post the rest of the photos that is why I am posting it just now, 2 months ago after this have happened. Well, I just caught with the Christmas and year-end errands for work, that is why plus I found these photos just now. 

 Today's post is about what I wore when we are hunting for pasalubong before we get back to Manila. I intended to post all the photos today but I realize that there are a lot of them so I decided to post my OOTD first. The rest of the colorful souvenirs will come in my next post! 

 I simply wore a tank-top-short combo and threw on my blue fedora hat to protect my face in the sun's heat because we will be walking a little from our hotel to the souvenir shops. I also bring my yellow mustard bag that I got from Romwe (See my review of it here.) to carry my essentials like cellphone, wallet, comb, sunblock lotion and camera.

Ombre Scene

Boracay is a small island in the Philippines located approximately 315 km (196 mi) south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Islandin the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Boracay Island and its beaches have received awards from numerous travel publications and agencies. The island comprises the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak municipality of Malay, province of Aklan. The island is administered by the Philippine Tourism Authority and the provincial government of Aklan. Apart from its white sand beaches, Boracay is also famous for being one of the world's top destinations for relaxation. It is also emerging among the top destinations for tranquility and nightlife. One of the things that I really adore during our 4-day vacation at Boracay is this ombre screne. It is a gradient effect between the see and the horizon that truly makes me feel I'm in a paradise. Far from the scene I am seeing everyday in the metro.

I took advantage of the opportunity to have a photo with this beauty on my background. And mind you, seeing these photos every time makes me want to get back to this paradise. I promise, I will when I got the luxury of time and money to do so! ♥

Boracay Trip: Adventures + OOTD

Our second day in Boracay was full of blast because it is when we do the things that we should do in this trip!

Before I start to tell the story, here is what I wore during that day. A simple, short and striped beach dress in  my favorite hue of course, blue violet! I paired it with my boyfriend's sister's Grendha sandals and my round sunnies! I tied my hair up because as what I've said in my last post, tied up hair looks better with this sunnies.

These are the views from our island hopping experience. I actually had a phobia in sea but this one is an exception because of its beauty.

The boatman led us to one of the island where we can eat. There is a small "paluto" house there and they are serving such fresh foods!

I so love the ombre look of the ocean from afar! So calming and peaceful!

We headed to Mount Luho while riding one of Boracay's famous attraction: All Terrain Vehicle (ATV)! 

Oh, I forgot that this one is not the ATV rather, they call it "Dune Buggies". And I'm so proud that I hyperly drove it back to the terminal! Thanks baby for guiding me!

And because I have experienced driving that DB, I also need to drive a bump car! I had so much fun acting like a little child again!

Boracay Trip: The Foods

Continuing to my Boracay trip stories, what I am sharing today is the food that we have tasted and eaten during our stay there. I really forget about my figure during this trip. I mean, I am not really in a diet and I haven't been in any. I am just eating what I feel to eat or anything entices my taste buds. And I that is exactly what I have done in Boracay. There is no exeption in my stomach during that 4-day trip.
I actually didn't photographed all the food for some reasons: either my camera is dead-bat or I am so hungry that instead of grabbing my camera, I have grabbed the spoon and fork. lol.

Our flight was delayed that we are still waiting for the boarding time till lunchtime so we bought Muhlach's ensaymada to aid our hunger.

When we got to the hotel, the personnel gave us this four-season juice drink as a welcome gift. This is actually delicious! ♥

We got these Buco Pandan and Banana cake bites as dessert during our first night plus this yummy fruit salad which I actually love because it tastes exactly as my mom's fruit salad

Breakfast on our second day is rice paired with Chicken Terriyaki and scramble egg.

Breakfast at the hotel was always served with Brewed coffee and fruit juice at side.

Lunch during our island hopping adventure. Pinakbet and Deep Fried Calamares.

Second night's dinner. BTW, We have stayed at La Carmela de Boracay Hotel that was one of the well-known hotel destinations in the island. They said that the TV personalities are the ones that are staying there. I am so honored to stay there. Thanks ate Len! ♥

Fruit Salad and Potato Soup

In cold nights, on what food we are running to? Instant cup noodles!

Our last breakfast in our last day, rice paired with sweet and sour longganisa and scrambled egg.

While waiting for the airplane on our way back to Manila, I bought a Caramel Macchiato at Coffee Break on Kalibo Airport.

And that's all for our food journey! I hope that it interests you even a little. I really had so much fun at Boracay and I am still have more stories to tell!

Boracay Trip Day 1: Airport Outfit

As I have promised, I have so many things to share about my Boracay trip on this blog. But let me start with the very first day of this trip on what I wore in my first airplane and boat ride from Manila to Kalibo then Boracay. Yes, I have told it many times, it was my first time to ride an airplane and a boat but not just that, there are so much more first times in this trip that made my life way too far from the usual. 

One of those first times is my first time to wear shorts outside. I seldom wear them inside the house when I have nothing to wear. The usual length of my bottomwears would be a jeans. The shortest length would be a 3/4 pants. Yeah, that's how primitive I am.

My hair is originally tied in a messy bun with no make-up on my face before we leave in Manila but I opt to untie it while in the airplane because I cannot rest my back on the airplane because of it. That is why my outfit shots at Kalibo airport shows my ungraceful hair that was swayed by the wind here and there.

We have left Manila at around 1:00pm and arrived at Kalibo airport after an hour of plane ride. I ask Allison to take my outfit shot before we ride a tricycle to the van terminal that will get us to the boat station.

This comfy sandals is actually not mine. Thanks ate Grace for letting me borrow it! 

I decided to take my hair bun back after our boat ride. It was almost 4:00pm before we reach the hotel. Such a long trip from Kalibo to Boracay!

Blurry photos means tired us. Good thing one of the hotel attendant give us a glass of juice to drink while checking in. Thanks kuya!

I basically wear a loose top and navy blue shorts here, a necklace and bracelet with wooden beads, my favorite round sunnies and a blue fedora hat that was almost similar to the color of my shorts.

 Smile even thought it's tiring. I know it will worth and I am right! I hope to see you again in the next posts!
