Comfort Zone

Finally posting my first blog entry for 2016 after asfjhjahwms years! Honestly, updating this blog has been crossed out on my priority list on the past months and that, oh well, sucks. Being focused on day and night job (while trying to keep my social life, though I fail sometimes) has been the highlight of my life lately. But I might need to challenge myself to keep everything running and stay out of my comfort zone (cross-fingers, I can do this!)

Jose Rizal Shrine

Today is holiday! -- And to most employees like me, it's long weekend (but not for me L ) but at least I had a chance to squeeze the things I need to do today, including updating this blog.

These photos are taken last April during the Holy Week where we visited Jose Rizal Shrine in Calamba, Laguna on Easter Sunday. The place is yet another sanctuary in my list -- a place I would choose to go if I need to breathe some fresh air. I wore a casual 3S (shirt + shorts + slippers) combo  to keep myself comfy during the day.

Chicken Charlie

Finally got time to compose another blog post after more than a month! The past month has been a crazy one at work but still I still managed to squeeze a Summer adventure with friends before my schedule gets tight.

Chicken Charlie has been our choice of place for "planning" our itinerary - our first time also to try this restaurant and I would rate the experience 8 stars out of 10. Food was delicious, the ambiance of the place is just right for a dinner discussions and oh, I love those playful framed typography incorporating their main dish (well, you can tell in the name that it's chicken. Haha.) as well as their Marketing communication call-outs particularly their choice of fonts and colors!

We ordered their Family Bundle meal (good for 4 persons) that costs P619.00. This meal includes 4 pieces of chicken, rice, side dish and drinks that roughly costs us P155.00 per person. It is a "sulit" choice for us because the meal leaves us full and the place gives us a fun time to discuss and update each other's lives.

Side Salad ♥

Cheese Dynamite, Skin on Fries and Onion Rings. These are all yummmmmmmmy! ♥

Best buffalo wings! ♥

Group photo with friends! We will definitely visit again to try another item on their menu :)

You may visit Chicken Charlie's Facebook page and website.

Pop of Yellow

It has been a busy week (or month I must say) at work hence the lack of update in here. Since I found time now, posting a quick update of what I wore yesterday - a comfy Sunday number going to my boyfriend's mini family gathering to watch the Battle of the Century in boxing ring, Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Since this will be some kind of staycation, I really made sure to wear the comfiest outfit so I can move (and lie down) freely throughout the day. The result of the fight may be disappointing, but I am still proud of our Filipino pride Manny Pacquiao for putting up a great and fair fight yesterday!

Kaunis Beauty and Wellness Center

Relaxing and unwinding in a spa has been a part of my life nowadays. Since I entered the corporate world, it has been a very effective stress reliever - and a way of self-pampering at the same time. It is my way of recharging and refueling my body every now and then. Because it has been a regular activity, I have been a hunter for affordable spa center in and around the metro -  but this will be the first time that I will be writing about it.

Kaunis Beauty and Wellness Center is a recent discovery and I think it is worth to feature in my first spa review. I have learned of it through Metrodeal and since it is just a 5-minute walking distance away from where I live, I am much more willing to give it a try. J

I have availed of their 60-minute full body signature massage for P99 instead of P580. I was with my best friend, boyfriend and another friend (the two boys are on the other room) when we availed of the deal. We have been welcomed by a nice reception area and staff - though I failed to take a photo of it.

Here is what their room looked like, it was surprisingly bigger than the usual size of other spa rooms I have been into. I am also in-loved  that they are using a sliding door instead of the usually used plain curtain cloth. The staffs are also very accommodating and polite, and that is a plus point for this particular spa. They are also giving tips on how you can avoid having back aches and colds and mildly interviewing about your daily activity to find out what causes those pains.

Loved this mood light! ♥
Le Bestfriend.
Another reason that I love Kaunis is because of their classy, super clean rest room! I can only count on my fingers the spa that I have into who have a clean (not to mention classy-designed) rest room like this. ♥

I am definitely recommending Kaunis Beauty and Wellness Center.

Saturday in Sunday Dress

Saturday off at work are what I am looking forward to lately because it makes me live longer on week ends where I usually just resting for a day - at Sunday. One Saturday, I was invited by my boyfriend's family to have a breakfast at Heritage Hotel and it was awesome! Opt to wear my comfy floral Sunday dress to make myself move freely even when I am dying of fullness in food. But failed I guess, because I took these photos after we ate and I looked so full!

RACKS

Whenever my boyfriend's family will eat out, RACKS is always in the list of our go-to place -especially their SM Mall of Asia branch since this is the nearest (and most ideal mall to go to most of the time) from their home. Usually when we are dining in, we are frequenting their Surf 'N' Turf family platter that can satisfy up  to 8-10 persons.

Just looking at these photos makes me crave for their Classic Pork Ribs - grilled to perfection and made even perfect when paired with their original barbeque sauce. ♥

Spaghetti Carbonara
Classic Garlic Bread
Classic Grilled Pork Ribs - super soft and tasty! Best paired with RACKS' Original Barbeque Sauce ♥
Buttered Corn & Carrot
Fish & Chips (or should I say fries) with a perfect dip!
Potato Salad
Broccoli & Cheese - another perfect combination
Have attempted to DIY it at home and it's worth a try! Yummm!
The Ansons! We're missing half of the group here L

Blurred Lines

Blurred lines - today these two words are more recognized as a song title from 2013 hit by Robin Thicke, Pharrelle Williams and T.I that has an 18+ only sensual music video uploaded online. But nope, I don't mean about that song with the title of this post, just the outfit I am wearing here that contains blurred lines from afar and on photo while it has straight line pattern. Wore this number to office last month - colored top + patterned bottoms is one of my obsessions J

Greenbelt Park

One of my 2015 goals is to do park hopping around the metro - and I want to do it this coming summer. I got to visit one a month ago and I really want to go back and spend another weekend doing nothing but to stare in the greens of nature while watching the fishes swimming in their little oasis. It was such an astonishing scenery to look at given that you are not seeing this on a daily basis. Yay.

Greenbelt Park is located in and around the Greenbelt Mall in Makati City. It was literally a "belt of green" in the middle of different malls with pockets of Zen-like gardens and water fountains built around its complex.

After our park stroll, it's time for some ice cream! This part is the Ayala Triangle park which I failed to take photos of since I enjoyed my sweet dessert while talking random things with le boyfriend - we finished our mini "bonding moment" when the night is already approaching.
