Chicken Charlie

Finally got time to compose another blog post after more than a month! The past month has been a crazy one at work but still I still managed to squeeze a Summer adventure with friends before my schedule gets tight.

Chicken Charlie has been our choice of place for "planning" our itinerary - our first time also to try this restaurant and I would rate the experience 8 stars out of 10. Food was delicious, the ambiance of the place is just right for a dinner discussions and oh, I love those playful framed typography incorporating their main dish (well, you can tell in the name that it's chicken. Haha.) as well as their Marketing communication call-outs particularly their choice of fonts and colors!

We ordered their Family Bundle meal (good for 4 persons) that costs P619.00. This meal includes 4 pieces of chicken, rice, side dish and drinks that roughly costs us P155.00 per person. It is a "sulit" choice for us because the meal leaves us full and the place gives us a fun time to discuss and update each other's lives.

Side Salad ♥

Cheese Dynamite, Skin on Fries and Onion Rings. These are all yummmmmmmmy! ♥

Best buffalo wings! ♥

Group photo with friends! We will definitely visit again to try another item on their menu :)

You may visit Chicken Charlie's Facebook page and website.

P.S. This is not a sponsored post.

Pop of Yellow

It has been a busy week (or month I must say) at work hence the lack of update in here. Since I found time now, posting a quick update of what I wore yesterday - a comfy Sunday number going to my boyfriend's mini family gathering to watch the Battle of the Century in boxing ring, Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Since this will be some kind of staycation, I really made sure to wear the comfiest outfit so I can move (and lie down) freely throughout the day. The result of the fight may be disappointing, but I am still proud of our Filipino pride Manny Pacquiao for putting up a great and fair fight yesterday!

Blurred Lines

Blurred lines - today these two words are more recognized as a song title from 2013 hit by Robin Thicke, Pharrelle Williams and T.I that has an 18+ only sensual music video uploaded online. But nope, I don't mean about that song with the title of this post, just the outfit I am wearing here that contains blurred lines from afar and on photo while it has straight line pattern. Wore this number to office last month - colored top + patterned bottoms is one of my obsessions J

Greenbelt Park

One of my 2015 goals is to do park hopping around the metro - and I want to do it this coming summer. I got to visit one a month ago and I really want to go back and spend another weekend doing nothing but to stare in the greens of nature while watching the fishes swimming in their little oasis. It was such an astonishing scenery to look at given that you are not seeing this on a daily basis. Yay.

Greenbelt Park is located in and around the Greenbelt Mall in Makati City. It was literally a "belt of green" in the middle of different malls with pockets of Zen-like gardens and water fountains built around its complex.

Top: Yellow | Pants: Crissa (similar to this) | Shoes & Bags: thrifted

After our park stroll, it's time for some ice cream! This part is the Ayala Triangle park which I failed to take photos of since I enjoyed my sweet dessert while talking random things with le boyfriend - we finished our mini "bonding moment" when the night is already approaching.

Shift to Shift

Lately, I've been living in a one-step dressing both for work and personal pursuit. I don't know, maybe one factor that affects my choice of dressing is the limited time to prepare myself in the morning - that is why I am opting for a no-brainer fashion in a form of dress.

Dress: Plastic (Korean brand) thrifted | Bag: Gift from a relative | Sandals: Zalora (find the direct link here)
A-Line silhouette has always been my go-to choice since my tummy is usually not cooperating. But currently, I am obsessed with shift dresses because I find it more effective in hiding my insecurity - it's because of its columnar cut and no defined waistline I guess! I love how this silhouette is boxy and flattering when it skims the outline of the body. ♥

Dress details - I just love the ceramic print in blue and red on this denim dress! ♥
Bag details - I think this came from Thailand because of "boho" style and elephant prints!
Shift dress is an appropriate casual outfit if paired with simple flats - best for laid-back Sundays!

Fairview Terraces

One Friday last month, my college barkada decided to visit yet another place within the city I live in - the Fairview Terraces. I love how almost every part of this top-line mall can be a "hangout corner" especially for a group of friends like us. We spend the whole afternoon at the top-most floor where we share a lot of stories with each other, update in life, works, and even love life while waiting for our movie slot to start. Got a bit carried by taking snapshots since I am also playing test with my new toy J

Sunset view is always the loveliest! ♥

Holiday feels during our January visit because of the Christmas lights still hanging outside the mall. Perfect night scenery I must say, this could be a year-round display after all! ♥

I've been eyeing those colorful lemonades at Muscle Beach wanting to take a closer shot but ashamed of the surrounding since I don't have any intention to buy but just stare. :P

Also fell in love with the window displays of deluxe retail brands - talk about daily dose of fashion comfort with these casual numbers! ♥

I recommend this mall if you want a great ambiance and upscale selection of fashion and food choices.
