How to Find the Perfect Party Dress

Whatever the season, it perpetually seems to be party season. In the winter, it’s Christmas parties, in the summer it’s weddings and garden parties. Not that ‘party fatigue’ sounds like a bad thing, but it inevitably necessitates a lot of shopping and finding the right party outfit can be difficult.

No doubt you’ve had the experience of seeing the perfect party dress while you’re out shopping for office clothes: it’s usually the way. When it comes time to finding a party outfit for a specific event, it’s time to narrow your search. Department stores are ideal for this kind of goal-specific shopping expedition, as they tend to keep all similar items in one place and you can just browse across all the different brands. Head over to London’s West End and aim to spend the morning in one or two stores and the afternoon in another couple. This should avoid the exhaustion caused by tramping through a multitude of geographically disparate shops.

Shopping online can also be a great way to do this. You may run the risk of buying something that doesn’t quite fit, but most companies offer fuss-free returns and there is something to be said for being able to try on your outfits in the comfort of your own home. You can also run a specific search for a dress, leaving out any styles that you don’t like.
If you’re going somewhere really special or you’re a fan of quirky style, you could try searching in reputable thrift stores or vintage markets. In the East End these kinds of shops are very common, while Shoreditch and Spitalfields hold regular vintage fairs. Successful shopping at these kinds of places requires some time, as you will need to rummage. It can be very rewarding, however, and you can be sure not to turn up at the party in the same dress as anyone else!
Ease your party shopping expeditions by going suitably equipped. An American Express Platinum Card has no preset spending limit and no interest charges. All you need to do is pay off your balance in full each month. If you get a charge card, you can earn points as you spend, which can later be redeemed for holidays, hotels and travel.

Sunday Stroll

Last Sunday night has been so great because I got a chance to amble with my boyfriend's siblings. It was me, Erickson, Allison, his Kuya Marko and Ate Imee at SM Mall of Asia. I miss doing this with his complete family!

After shopping, we headed to a car expo at MOA’s parking space. While Kuya Marko, Ate Imee and Erickson are busy going around, Allison and I took that chance to camwhore with our crazy selves! We look silly doing this in public but keri lang!

What I love with this girl is my craziness blends well with hers! Making faces, common outfits, same hairstyles, name it. That would be the reason why we are thought to be biological sisters when we're not.

You can even see our reflections here. Camwhoring galore anyone? Anyway, I have written my blog name on this touchscreen gadget.

We had our dinner at Icebergs.  I honestly didn't expect that this store is serving dinner because whenever I am passing by it, desserts, desserts and desserts are what I am only seeing in their huge menu at the counter. You can never tell unless you have gone inside and eat on there. Haha. Seems like the other side of this table is camera shy so my camera just got a picture of me and Ate Imee.

Iceberg's famous Sisig with egg

Their Buffallo Wings are served with chips and  dip sauce.

Southern Style Fried Chicken. In fairness to Icebergs, their foods are so delicious! I am so full after our dinner! Thanks Kuya Marko and Ate Imee! ♥

Their Super Halo-Halo. It is literally "super" because it is so huge!

I hope to have more of this bonding moments with you guys soon! Thank you for the good time and good food! ♥

Fuschia Rose Nails

It's the first day of the week! But not just that, it's Manicure Monday! I have started this week with a lively and lovely nail color: FUSCHIA ROSE! I just love how color pink has various shades that was turning quite different with one another. Maybe because of its complimentary color red?

May it be Light Pink, Baby Pink, Hot Pink, Deep Pink, Cameo Pink, Orchid Pink, Carnation Pink, or whatever shade it is, one thing is for sure: they are all girly! Pink has been each girl's staple color and everyone knows that. I have proved that many times to myself. I am not a fan of this color since violet and blue are my favorites but when my girliness calls for it, color pink is where I am running at. Just like now.

Back on to my nails, have I not convinced you in describing this color as lively and lovely with all the statements above? Let me show you an example:

Taddaaa! This is me earlier while writing this blog post at the office with my pink nail and pink ballpen that I got as a souvenir from my Boracay trip. It had my name on it! ♥

I have used my Caronia Nail Hardener and Base Coat before applying on this gorgeous OMG nail color in Bikini. If you are a regular reader of this blog, you can tell how much I love this brand!
